Sunday School Class for Youth

There are two S.S. classes for youth; one is the Jr. High class for youth in 7th and 8th grade. The other is the Sr. High class for 9th through 12th grades. 

 

The class sessions are a relaxed, discussion of current events from a biblical perspective type of class. 

Youth Fellowship

Youth Fellowship is offered for all youth in grades seven through twelve. The youth meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month with an additional activity planned for each month. Please check the Youth Bulletin Board outside the church office for updates.

 

The youth plan annual activities including a camping retreat to "Impact" (United Methodist Youth Retreat) and either a work camp or a trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio, alternating between these two annually. The youth also assist in home bound visitation and occasionally help at the local soup kitchen during the summer months. 

 

The youth participate in or lead at least one worship service annually, either on Father's Day, Mother's Day or Youth Sunday.

Confirmation Class

 

Confirmation Class, which is dedicated to preparing youth for membership at Faith United Methodist Church, is taught by the pastor and is for all youth in grade eight or above. It is a thirteen-week course which begins in January and leads into Pentecost Sunday, the day on which we officially receive 

confirmands into full membership in the congregation.

Graduates Sunday

Recognition of Graduates Sunday is usually held on a Sunday in close proximity to graduation and features a PowerPoint presentation focused upon the graduate and a special covered dish luncheon by the congregation in honor of all graduates.
