In 1997, Fairlawn covenanted with St. John UMC of 411 Taylor
Avenue in Evansville in a Co-Parish relationship. The purpose was to bring two
congregations of racial differences to learn, serve and share together in our
response to following Christ. From this ministry relationship, many great strides have
occurred in the battle against racism within our community. Many events, activities and
worship opportunities have happened during this time serving as vehicles to further as
well as strengthen relationships in this regard.
