Fairlawn Children's Center began in 1990 when the
University of Evansville turned over operations to Fairlawn U.M.C. The Center is a full time
facility, fully insured and licensed by the State of Indiana. The Center serves toddlers, 3
and 4 year olds, as well as pre-kindergarten and summer school age programs. We are open
all twelve months, Monday through Friday.
The Center maintains a staff of responsible, fully qualified teachers and assistants. Our
staff meet and exceed the qualification's of their respective staff positions and the
requirements set by the State of Indiana.
Fairlawn Children's Center features a developmental approach to meet the physical, social,
and intellectual needs of the young children. The daily educational experiences are
accomplished through language development, musical activities, science and nature studies,
math and literature.
The purpose of Fairlawn Children's Center is to provide a caring environment in which
children can achieve their full potential for all aspects of growth. We believe that all
children are unique and that each child's individual capabilities must be nurtured by
the adults in their lives and their environment. But most of all, when the children leave
our center, we want them to have a positive approach to living to sustain them throughout
their later years.
