Starting in 1891 services were held in a one room frame building located on what is now the southeast corner of the Fairland School grounds.  In April, 1904, the building was damaged by a cyclone.
Construction of this building was started in 1905.  The building was remodeled in 1947,  four classrooms added, and exterior rock -veneered.  In 1948 a dining room and kitchen were added on the northwest corner of the structure.  The  interior of the building was redecorated, and new light fixtures were installed.  The building was struck by lighting on August 22,  1952, and destroyed by a fire which followed.

FROM YOUR PASTOR:

As of Wednesday evening (Ash Wednesday), we are entering into the Season of Lent. Lent is the 40 days, not counting Sundays, before Easter. It is a time of reflection on our lives, a time of being in prayer, a time of asking forgiveness. It is most of all a time of preparation for Easter and Resurrection.

As I think about the month of February, it is like we have experienced just about ALL OF LIFE in one month’s time. We have baptized a beautiful infant - we have buried a "loved" grandfather - we have heard the profession of faith an adult person - and we are preparing for the wedding of two young members of our church. What a month! Today I have seen the first "buds" of spring. It seems very fitting. This Lenten Season we are challenging each other to invite more folks to be with us AND we are awaiting resurrection. God’s blessings be with each of you during this special Season.
