Welcome to our new minister...

On Sunday July 3, 2005 we are pleased to welcome our new Pastor, Reverend Peggy E. Fabrizio. Pastor Peggy comes to us from the First United Methodist Church in Walton, New York, where she has been pastor for the past 3 years. She has also been working part-time with The United Methodist Frontier Foundation in White Plains, New York as a consultant since March 2004. Peggy graduated from Drew Theological School, Magna Cum Laude, in 1999 and since then she has also been the pastor in Coxsackie, NY and Pine Plains, NY.

The Staff Parish Relations Committee related to our District Superintendent George Engelhardt, our needs and desires as a church community for our next pastor. We discussed the wonderful and talented "family" we have here at Fairfield Grace and the many outreach programs we support. We expressed our desire for a leader who could recognize those talents and motivate our "family" to better serve each other, our community and the Lord. We also sought someone who could meet the challenges we face as we look to our future growth. After meeting Pastor Peggy we all felt she would be the person to meet our needs here at Fairfield Grace.

Pastor Peggy has had another career before attending Drew University. She taught school in the elementary grade levels in New York State and raised two children. She has a daughter Lori and a son Michael, who is married to Dawn. They both live in eastern New York.

Pastor Peggy has unique experience as a lay leader in the church having served as parish treasurer, financial secretary, administrative council chairperson, and lay member of annual conference, trustee and a member of pastor/parish relations committee. She will surly be able to understand the many jobs and responsibilities here at church. She has a special interest in counseling and has obtained 6 credits in Clinical Pastoral Education.
