Looking for a church
family in which you can be active, growing, involved and welcome right
from the start? If so, Englewood United Methodist Church may well
feel like "home" to you.
We are a well-established
mid-size, vibrant congregation located in an outer northwest suburb of
Dayton, Ohio. Our style, in worship and otherwise, blends
traditional and contemporary.
We are large enough to
support a variety of ministries and activities, yet small enough to
care. We seek to welcome and include, as well as minister to and
with, people of all backgrounds, races and ethnicities. We hope to
welcome you into our local church family, as part of the
universal Christian community that is the Body of Christ in our world
today.

Our Mission ...
... is to invite and nurture people into a
life-giving, life-transforming relationship with God through Jesus
Christ, that the world may be transformed, renewed and healed.
This mission is nothing more or less than what Jesus Christ asked of the
first Disciples and all who would follow after.

We seek to carry out this
mission by living through Christ, that others may personally
experience in what we do and who we are a reflection of God's love, grace and
care; by growing in Christ, that through worship, fellowship,
mutual nurture, study, and other means of spiritual growth we may find courage
to let go of who we now are and move into God's dreams of who we might become;
and by witnessing for Christ, that we may reach out to others
regardless of race, background, economic or social class, or other distinction,
in ways that are meaningful to them, to help all of God's beloved children
experience the immediate life-giving presence of God constantly around, among
and within us all, to the end that together we may be transformed, healed of our
brokenness, and made whole and new.
