I was born in upstate New York and lived there until I was 18. After
traveling and living in Southern California for a time I settled in Eugene and
attended LCC. I got my Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in
1998. I also married Scott (at Trinity) in 1998. Elyas was born in 2000 and
Sophia in 2001.
I've been an active member at Trinity since 2000. As a parent, it is very
important to me that my family be involved in our church. I think that having
a church family gives children a stronger self-esteem, which is especially
important in the pre-teen and teen years when kids are pressured to rebel. I
feel a sense of ownership in our church. I especially believe that, in order
for a church to thrive and grow, there needs to be a steady population of
young families. Without this younger population the church stagnates. I
think that Trinity has a great education program in place and I look forward
to building it further, especially in the area of youth ministries.
