"LIVE B.I.G." Curriculum with Video, music , lessons and activities
 | Meets at 10:45 am Sundays during the School Year |
 | Children leave the Traditional Service after a children's message |
 | The First Sunday each month all the children leave the service for Children's

Confirmation Class- "Claim The Name"
 | Held each year for youth in Middle School |
 | The end goal is full membership into our church community |
Vacation Bible School- Summer 2008
 | Vacation Bible School open to all children ages 5 to 12 |

Adult Education
 | Several Adult Bible Study opportunities are offered throughout the year |
 | Some of those are as follows: |
 | Disciple 1 35 week study on Sunday evenings |
 | Disciple, an 8 week course, is offered at two different
times with both day and evening sessions |
 | Prayer Study Groups are offered in units of several week
sessions throughout the year |
 | Lenten Bible Studies, offered during Lent along with out Thursday
Night Lenten Potluck and worship |

Youth Ministries
The youth of First United Methodist Church meet for fellowship on Sunday
afternoons, twice a month and are very involved in the mission and ministry
of this church in the following activities:
 | Acolytes, ushers, readers and musicians during worship |
 | Substitute Sunday School Teachers and Nursery Assistants |
 | Drama participants in special services |
 | Workers in the All-Church fair and Yard Sale |
 | Helpers for church suppers and Homeless Shelter Meals |
 | Collecting food for Ecumenical Food Cupboard |
 | UMW-Young Women: making health and school kits |
 | Fund raising for Habitat for Humanity and Camp Mechuwana |
 | Fall and Spring grounds clean up |

Church Family Ministries
Family Ministries' main goals are building friendships and sense of
community among church members, promoting Christian family activities, and
providing educational opportunities related to family issues. "Family", can be
made up of one of more persons, of all ages...not just parents with children.
Our activities vary from year to year, but have included some of the
following:

Missions Ministries
The Missions Committee works on global and local ministries. The
committee is presently sponsoring
four bean suppers a year to support specific missions and our church
mortgage.
Our main emphasis in recent years has been funding and supporting both
local and global missions including:

Music Ministries
Music is here at First United Methodist Church is fun, full of spirit, and
we make a joyful noise unto the Lord. There are possibilities for
participation in a variety of venues, as well as, the opportunity to express
one's faith musically in either of the worship services.
The music program and groups at First united Methodist Church:
