First Sundays
Monthly Offering for Berkeley Emergency Food and Housing Project
Leave your "spare" quarters in the offering plate to help provide shelter and hot meals. (Make checks payable to Epworth UMC and designate them for the "Berkeley Food Project.") Next Quarter Sunday is: June 1st.

Second Sundays
Monthly Food Collection for Berkeley Food Pantry

Bring canned goods and other non-perishable foods to the Sanctuary entrance on Sunday morning. Next Food Pantry Sunday is: May 11th.

Men's Shelter Dinner

Epworth volunteers prepare and serve dinner at the Men's Shelter, Berkeley Veteran's Building. Next shelter dinners are on: May 11th and 19th.

Adult Study: "A Korean Student Speaks"
Pacific School of Religion student Jay Park talks about his experiences growing up in Korea and coming to the United States to study. Jay worships with the Berkeley Korean UMC and sings tenor in the Epworth choir.

Special Parents' Coffee Hour
Parents of children in the Infant/Toddler through Fifth Grade Sunday School programs are invited to a special coffee hour hosted by the Children's Council. Stop by the K-2 classroom after worship, then make your way around the corner to the 3-5 classroom (Room 30) for refreshments.

Summer Teacher Sign-up
Epworth needs volunteer Sunday School teachers for grades K-5 from June 15th through August 21st. Check the sign-up sheet on the K-2 classroom door and sign for one Sunday – or more! Curriculum provided.

New Epworth Directory on the Way
The new Epworth directory will be out in a few weeks, and it will be only as accurate as we make it! Look for the directory table in the Fellowship Hall after worship and make any needed corrections to the draft. The typo you save may be your own.

Remember that danceable music from the 40s and 50s? It's back, with maestro Gus Wedemeyer leading the big band. Ticket $7 at the door, $5 from Gus in advance. Refreshments available. Kids welcome.

Performances Fridays at 8:00 PM.
Join us for our fourth season of live musical theater under the summer stars of the Oakland Hills. See Beverly D. to purchase tickets in advance at our special group rate of $13, children 16 and under free – if enough adults buy tickets. Tickets must be purchased by May 25th. Africa University celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
This United Methodist-sponsored university in Zimbabwe is making a difference by educating Africans in Africa.
