A fable about a community of monks in an isolated monastery yearning for new life and vitality. A visiting Rabbi's parting words, "The Messiah is one of you," inspires the monks to look at each other in a new way. The story evokes discussion about the power of imagination and the nature of community.

Floyd Shaffer, leader of the Clown Ministry Movement, presents 3 parables on one tape.

Ep. 1 THE MARK OF THE CLOWN- (15 min.); "Socataco" and an entire congregation of clowns re-enact the mysteries of faith, worship, and ministry without using a word.

Ep. 2 A CLOWN IS BORN- (15 min.); The biography of an amazing clown from birth through adulthood as he "bumbles" his way through jobs, etc. trying to do what is right only to get into trouble because of his action. In the end he finds a group of clowns like himself in a church and, after sharing the sacrament with them, goes out to spread joy. Gives an example of clown ministry as well as being a worship experience.

Ep. 3 THAT'S LIFE- (8 min.); Portrays the wonder of the resurrection. Floyd sets out on a camping trip on an ordinary day, but soon the mood changes as the world becomes cold and all you can see of him is a mound of snow. Spring arrives and he awakens to emerge from his cocoon and then arises to look around him in wonder.

The video tells the true story of the encounter of ordinary Americans with angels. Although the video provides an introduction to Catholic belief concerning angels, it is usable for viewers of all denominations. Joan Wester Anderson, a leading expert on angelology, discusses her own encounter with angelic forces in her life.

Through the stunning art of John August Swanson, Benedictine Sister Joan Chittister leads the viewer in a wondrous meditation on the famous Biblical passage: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

The video explores the incredible power of prayer at work in 500 years of American history. Ordinary Christians became extraordinary as they warded off calamities, saved their country from destruction, and changed the course of world history through prayer. The video shows Columbus, the Mayflower, Pilgrims at Plymouth Colony, and Washington's heroism and dedication as he and others were spared through prayer.

The video captures parts of an ecumenical event held in Chicago, October 4th, 1998, in which 2,000 representatives of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Reformed Church in America, the United Church of Christ, and the Presbyterian Church USA gathered at Rockefeller Chapel in worship to celebrate the joy of entering into full communion together.

This video will help a congregation become a community where people learn to share a confident and contagious witness to their faith in Jesus. The resource was developed after 25 lay and clergy leaders known for their ministry in evangelism met and researched the characteristics of congregations known for witness and faith. The results of their work are included in this video.

"The Prayer Path" contains the materials needed for a labyrinth experience which has 11 stations. Two of the stations have videos.
