A realistic and entertaining series that portrays real-life situations facing young adolescents. Issues include peer pressure, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse, sexuality, body image, cultural values, social responsibility and relationships. Stories stimulate discussion among adolescents themselves and among adolescents and adults.

.1 KISS ME, STEPH- When Stephanie begins her campaign for student body president with kisses and wild promises, her best friend Voula is appalled. Meanwhile two boys have to deal with bullying.

.2 THE BIG DANCE- Voula disobeys her old-world father to go to the school dance, but her father finds out. Stephanie, the school president, gets drunk and Voula must make her speech for her. Deals with parent-teen conflicts and friendship.

.3 THE EXPERIMENT- Yick is convinced his teacher is picking on him so sets up an experiment to trick him. The results are unexpected. When two girls believe the vitamin pills Joey has sold them are really drugs, Joey finds himself in hot water.

.4 THE COVER-UP- Joey is faced with a dilemma when he finds out that Rick's bruises have been inflicted by his own father.

.5 THE GREAT RACE- When the girls' swim team challenges the boys' soccer team to a race, two boys and one girl experience embarrassment about their physiques.

.6 RUMOR HAS IT- When Caitlin hears rumors that her favorite teacher is gay, she has disturbing dreams that make her question her own sexuality. A second plot deals with gossip, rumors, and circumstantial evidence.

.7 THE BEST-LAID PLANS- Stephanie and Wheels imply to their friends that they're going to be sexually active on a date. Yick plans to watch a sexually-explicit video.

.8 NOTHING TO FEAR- Because her mother had died after surgery, L.D. is terrified that her father may die after his surgery. When the school snake gets loose, Melanie is afraid that she'll be the one to find it.

.9 WHAT A NIGHT- Voula discovers that her friend Lucy has nice clothes because she shoplifts. Stephanie has an unpleasant experience on a date with her soap-opera star idol.

.10 SMOKESCREEN- When cynical Rick takes an interest in the environmental action committee, Caitlin decides he can be redeemed if people will give him a chance, but Rick's not so sure he wants to be. Arthur doesn't know what to do when he accidentally breaks what he believes is Yick's family heirloom.

.11 IT'S LATE- When Spike realizes she is pregnant, she doesn't know how to handle telling her mother and her boyfriend. Yick has a crush on Melanie and seeks Arthur's advice about asking a girl out on a date.

.12 PARENTS' NIGHT- When Wheels's birth-father shows up, Wheels has to deal with his feelings about his adoptive parents, his birth-parents, and his own identity. Spike discusses putting her baby up for adoption with Wheels.

.13 REVOLUTION- To make Wheels jealous, Stephanie, the SB president, puts Joey into a position traditionally held by a seventh-grader. When the 7th grade class makes a move to impeach her, her brother Arthur is torn between his sister and his class.

.27 CAN'T LIVE WITH 'EM - PART 1- Wheels's ongoing problems with his parents suddenly seem trivial when his mother and father are killed in an automobile accident. Shows how death can awaken fear, anger, grief, and guilt in young people.

Video focuses on the negative effect that disrespectful, demeaning, and intimidating behavior can have upon another individual. It offers a clear picture to teachers and students about their rights and responsibilities and demonstrates limits regarding sexual harassment.

The video is a light-hearted look at a serious subject: goodness. It analyzes why people aren't always good and offers suggestions on how they can include goodness in their daily lives. Some of the Hollywood actors and actresses involved in the individual sketches are: Jason Alexander, Bob Saget, Florence Henderson, and Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows.

Using his natural warmth, sensitivity, and unique personality, Michael Pritchard breaks through teenagers' defenses to create an open exchange that sheds light on the problem of teen violence and offers practical, real-life solutions.

.1 PREVENTING VIOLENCE- This program paints a picture of teen violence today by identifying the types of violence school kids face. Three basic strategies for avoiding and reducing violence are presented: predicting consequences, cooling down, and walking away.

.2 RESOLVING CONFLICTS- Special attention is given to communications techniques for avoiding conflicts including respecting the feelings of others, communicating positively with "I" messages, and learning to negotiate. Proven conflict management techniques are presented.

.3 MANAGING YOUR ANGER- This program discusses the friction of daily life and ways of diffusing potentially dangerous situations. It teaches how to recognize your anger buttons and clarify your emotions through the anger management techniques of Stepping Back, Cooling Out, and Self-Control.

               Students explore the physical consequences of abuse as well as the controversy surrounding its medicinal uses.  Amazing animations give viewers a look at the impact of marijuana use on the brain.  Interviews with users and experts explain the crippling effect that marijuana can have on the motivation, memory, and future of even the most casual user.

               This DVD is a documentary about the controversy over abstinence education coming to the Albuquerque public school system and its impact on the national debate.  It includes a discussion of frequently asked questions with nationally recognized experts and a discussion guide.

               Today’s teenagers have money and independence, their lives the object of obsessive focus by corporate America.

               The “Merchants of Cool” are creators and sellers of popular culture who have made teenagers the hottest consumer demographic in America.  FRONTLINE correspondent Douglas Rushkoff examines the tactics, techniques, and cultural ramifications of these marketing Moguls.  The program talks with top marketers, media executives and cultural/media critics, and explores the symbiotic relationship between the media and today’s teens.  Last year, America’s teens spent $100 billion, while influencing their parents’ spending to the tune of another $50 billion.  Critics are asking whether these merchants are really reflecting the desires of today’s teenagers or stoking a cultural infatuation with music and imagery that glorify violence and illicit sex as well as antisocial behavior and attitudes.  Parts of this DVD are unsuitable for showing to youth, but important for youth leaders and parents to see.
