    .14    JESUS, THE SON OF GOD- Viewer witnesses the astonishing wisdom of Jesus from His boyhood teaching of the learned rabbis in the temple to His temptation by Satan in the wilderness.  This walk through the life of Jesus shows the remarkable nature of His character.

    .18    LAZARUS LIVES- Lazarus Lives gives assurances that Jesus has all power over death.  Jesus mourns with Martha and Mary, then sorrow is turned to joy as Lazarus's life is restored and Jesus promises eternal life.
    .19    LORD, I BELIEVE- This episode is a collection of three stories in which Jesus teaches His disciples through word and deed the great power of faith.  Stories include the Roman centurion, raising the son of the poor widow of Nain, and the man of weak faith who begs Jesus to heal his son. 
    .20    THE MESSIAH COMES- In this video the events of Holy Week are highlighted.  As the disciples struggle to understand the mission of Jesus, they are blinded by their expectations of the Messiah.  Witness Jesus cleansing the temple, the triumphal entry, and the healing of a lame man.  After the Resurrection, the disciples finally understand.

The video shows Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus and some of his adventures including the shipwreck, the snakebite, and his experiences in prison.

VCN-303 THE STORYKEEPERS SERIES- (E); 9 videos; 30 min.; Cartoon Animation; Zondervan, 1995.

During the time of Nero’s persecution of Christians, Ben the Baker and his wife, Helena, take in four children whose parents are missing in the aftermath of the burning of Rome. The series relates the exciting adventures of these children in fictional stories of the early Church. It includes an activity book entitled Adventures in Clay which has instructions for 14 different Storykeepers shapes.

.1 BREAKOUT- Ben the Baker rescues a young juggler from the Roman Coliseum and tells him the stories of the feeding of the 5,000, Zacchaeus, and the raising of Jairus’s daughter.

.2 RAGING WATERS- When Zak is caught by the evil Nero, Ben stages a dramatic rescue. Includes the stories of John the Baptist, the calming of the Sea of Galilee, and the healing of the demon-possessed man.

.3 CATACOMB RESCUE- When Anna and Justin are trapped by Roman soldiers, they must choose between saving the life of their enemy or saving themselves. Includes the parables of the Good Samaritan, the Sower, and the Unforgiving Servant.

.5 SINK OR SWIM- A secret search for Justin's father on a Roman slave ship leads to high sea adventures for Ben, Helena, and the children. Ben and his group find themselves suddenly headed for battle against a rebel slave ship. Justin shows one of the slaves the meaning of self-sacrifice. Jesus stories included are: the Healing of the Paralytic and the parables of "The Pharisee and the Sinner" and "The House Built on a Rock".

.6 STARLIGHT ESCAPE- While escaping by night to a neighboring city in order to avoid capture by Nero's soldiers, Ben, Helena, and the kids are frustrated when their wagon wheel breaks. While they wait for the wagon to be repaired, Ben and Helena take them on a story journey back to the time of the birth of Jesus. Zak the Zealot discovers how God's love reaches out to all people everywhere.

.7 ROAR IN THE NIGHT- This fictional story set in New Testament times involves Baker Ben, Helena, and Marcus in an adventure which includes Nero's escaped lion cubs and a daring rescue plan. In the story Jesus tells the parables of "The Lost Sheep", restores a man's speech and hearing, and praises a widow for her gift in the temple.

.8 CAPTURED- Cyrus's acrobatic talent turns him from Roman captive to the star of the show in the mansion of Flavian the merchant, who abuses his slaves. When the slaves revolt, Cyrus wishes he'd cooperated when Ben and the family tried to smuggle him home. This adventure also includes the story of the Prodigal Son and the miracle of Jesus's healing of the centurion's servant.

.9 TRAPPED!- Emperor Nero is having a birthday party, but Tacitus is not in a festive mood. He faces a tough choice: worship Nero as a god and receive a promotion or stay true to his faith and risk death! Baker Ben and his gang come to the rescue. Allyson is a girl from a fractured family who faces challenges that seem insurmountable, including being in trouble at school. An enthusiastic music teacher, played by recording artist Nicole C. Mullen, introduces her to God and gives her a reason to change. The video contains powerful stories from the book of Acts. Stories included are Saul's conversion and Paul's defense of Christianity to King Agrippa.

VCN-305 THE GREAT ESCAPE with Frank Peretti from The Visual Bible Series-(E/JH); 30 min.; No guide; Christian Book Distributors, 2000.

An off-beat Sunday School teacher, played by Frank Peretti, creates a dungeon in the church basement to help his class understand what it was like to be a Christian in Biblical times. The kids learn that God really cares for them even in the most difficult times.
Stories from the book of Acts include Peter's miracle-filled prison escape, Paul and Silas in an earthquake, and Paul's shipwreck survival on the island. The Great Escape tells exciting tales of the early years of the spread of Christian faith with many thrills and much suspense.

This DVD will introduce children to the early church, the spread of the Gospel after Jesus, and the role Paul played as a great missionary.  The sessions are:  Struck Blind (Acts 7-9), Imprisoned at Philippi (Acts 16), and Shipwrecked at Malta (Acts 27-28).  (English and Spanish languages.)
