About us:
First United Methodist Church
is a congregation of approximately 470 persons. Our active membership is
around 200 persons.
We are one of two UM Charges in Cameron County.The
small rural Moore Hill Church on top of Moore Hill is served by our
pastor. The other charge in the county is the Sinnemahoning UMC.
We are a member of the Kane District, Western
PA Conference United Methodist Church.
Our District Superintendent is Rev. Robert Higginbotham,
his office is located in Kane PA,

Here's how to find us:

From St. Marys take Route 120 E to Emporium. We are
on the main street, 4th Street (Rt. 120), the south side, the corner
of 4th and Spruce Streets.

From Sinnemahoning, take Route 120 W into Emporium.

From Austin or Port Allegheny take Rt. 155 S to Emporium
then Rt. 120 W into town.

From Smethport, take Route 46 S, into Emporium, at
the light turn left onto 4th Street, and head east to 4th and Spruce Street.
Visitors to worship can expect:

A warm welcome to participate in all our church activities.
Informal dress.

Special Music: Choir, solos, English Bell Choir,
opportunity to select favorite hymns (summer months) and occasional
praise music. Instrumental music from Pipe organ and grand piano.

Requested to sign an attendance register.

Visitors are not asked to stand and identify themselves.

There is a voluntary opportunity to share concerns,
joys and thanksgivings before intercessory prayer is offered.

Communion is open to all present who desire to know
better our Lord and Savior.
