Our Theology

Elm Park is a United Methodist Church: Christian in nature and ecumenical in outlook. God is our Source, Christ is our Life, the Holy Spirit is our Power and the Holy Scriptures our Authority.

We see ourselves as a people and church trying to grow in faith and in understanding of God's Kingdom. We try not to be judgmental. We share and celebrate each other's joys, happiness and achievements.

At Elm Park we are all ministers. Each person has the opportunity and responsibility to worship, study, know, share and to tell the Good News of the Gospel.

We understand the church to be the Body of Christ, working and loving in today's world. It is through this Body that we minister to the world, nation, our community, each other and ourselves.
