Purpose of United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The Elkton United Methodist Women became a six-star unit last year by giving above required levels for mission and other Undesignaated Giving items.
UMW Circles
We currently have three circles meeting for fellowship and service. Visitors and new members are always welcome! The Wesleyan Circle meets the 1st Tuesday night; Amanda Kite Circle meets the 2nd Tuesday night and the Elsie Cover circle meets the 2nd Thursday afternoon of each month.
Please SAVE your Campbell's Soup labels. Bring them to church and place them in the marked
box in the Assembly room. Those all go to help the Red Bird Mission. These labels directly
benefit the schools, its students and the mission.
We are working on a scrapbook of the church. Anyone having pictures or articles please give
them to Jeri. One is completed and you may see it at church!
Continue to remember the shut-ins by your visits, cards, and calls.
