Elizabeth Memorial offers Sunday School classes for all ages. Sunday School meets each week 10:00-10:45 a.m.
We currently offer three classes in our Adult Division:
- J.O.Y. Class - This class uses the International Bible Study series. This study presents stimulating lessons that explore the Biblical message and how to apply it to daily life. Adults move from a focus on the Word to reflection on personal, family, church, and community concerns.
- Explorer's Class - This class uses current events as a basis for Bible study. Materials are provided for the class, and class participation is encouraged. The class also meets for social events during the year, such as a potluck dinner at Christmas time at a member’s home.
- "Young" Adult Class - This lively group of adults of all ages uses a contemporary study books as the basis of their journey through the Bible. Topics such as how will we be remembered, familiar passages through the eyes of minor Biblical characters, and a historical trip through the books of the Bible are among those topics the class has studied. The group also has a class prayer chain and meets for social events such as progressive dinners and cook-outs at Kanawha State Forest.
On occasion we also offer special short term studies during the Sunday School time. Check here often for classes offered.
Elizabeth Memorial offers Sunday School classes for Middle School Youth (grades 6-8) and Senior High Youth (grades 9-12): "
- Middle School - This class continues its study of people of the Bible. Who are they? What did they do? How are they like us? " "
- Senior High - Teacher Cheryl Ranson invites Senior High Youth go grab a donut from the kitchen and head downstairs for their weekly discussions on the history of Christianity.
In our Children's Division we offer classes for Preschool, Grades K-2nd, and Grades 3rd-5th. Children have fun learning about God using the ROCK SOLID curriculum. Lively lessons, fun games, and cool crafts are featured each week.
In addition to classes for Preschool-5th grade, we offer a staffed Nursery for children age 2 and under.
