Prayer Shawl Ministries
North Prairie United Methodist Church
On Wednesday, February 18, United Methodist Women from North Prairie, Winthrop Harbor and Zion Memorial joined together for a potluck and program presented by Joyce Carrasco centering on the history and Biblical background of the Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Two shawls were presented for the Peace Room at Northern Illinois University. Many members mailed their shawls directly to the Wesley Foundation.
Offered in Silent Auction at the North Prairie UMC is a treasured shawl given to the Appalachia Service Project volunteers from Winthrop Harbor and North Prairie by the United Methodist ASP Volunteers from New Jersey. Our connection at work in every stitch!
