The Shawl Ministry of First United Methodist Church in Des Plaines began in October 2006. This small group ministry team meets in the church parlor every Thursday morning from 10-11 AM. They discuss the ministry, work on the shawls, and offer blessings for those who will receive the completed shawls. Some people crochet while others knit."
