When you come to East Lemon United Methodist Church, you join in an act of worship, the work of the people of God.

To this activity, you bring all that you are: your strengths and weaknesses, your fears, and your hopes. Because God chose to become human in Jesus Christ, our human concerns are important. Because God is love, God wants us to shed the light of truth upon our lives, to draw us into that love and to enrich us in understanding, to encourage us by hope, and to empower us to serve others.

Because God acts through our corporate, as well as private lives, each of us takes an active part in hearing the Word, reciting prayers, singing hymns and sharing in the fellowship of this gathering of the people of God.

Youths are especially welcome to hear the Children's Message from the pastor in the regular worship, and then join teachers downstairs for a Junior Church specifically directed at them.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper the first Sunday of every month. You are invited to discover the wonder and mystery of existence, in which all things and all beings are seen to be connected, even as the bread and the cup received in Holy Communion unite us both with Christ and with one another. All are welcome at the Lord's Table!

Here at East Lemon UMC the sacrament of Baptism is available for infants, children, youth and adults. If interested, please contact the Pastor and arrange an appointment.

We also have other special Worship services throughout the year; such as Christmas Eve, Easter, Old Home Day, etc. as well as Vacation Bible School for the youths during the summer.

A warm welcome is extended to ALL visitors and newcomers. We hope that you will catch something of the spirit of devotion and celebration which characterizes this congregation and that you will return to worship with us often.
