Outreach Ministries           

     Eldred UMC Mission Committee 

                                                   In 2007 we received the news from World Vision         
    that Patrick's family  has moved outside the area of  
    support by World Vision and we were given a new  
    child  to support.   Our thoughts and prayers  go  with
    Patrick  to his new home.


                   Our new child is Ionut Daniel Stan and he  
    lives in  Romania.  We have received his picture and

              We have continued to support our church's mission trips to
Mississippi, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, and plan for a number of local mission projects this spring.   May God's blessing be with the volunteers in each of these projects.

           We also continue to make monthly or annual donations to other Missionaries and ministries supported by our church locally, nationally, and internationally, and as always, we are the ones who are blessed by the sacrifices we make.  You can see these on the map on our bulletin board in the hallway.

           Remember that our committee meets the 3^rd Tues. of the month at Pat Bennett’s home at 7:00 PM.  However, the next scheduled meeting is May 23rd when our Mission Team returns from Mississippi.  Anyone interested is welcome to join the committee as we pray for guidance in using the Mission funds of our church to support ministries and missions in the local area, the United States, and the world.  Please continue to let Pat know of your interest in this vital use of our mission offerings.  Watch for our updates on our bulletin board in the hallway by the church office.    Watch for our annual hoagie sale in June!

 Community Dinners

On the 3rd Saturday of each month from September thru May we offer a FREE Community Dinner to those in the area who would like to join others for a fellowship dinner.  We have served up to 125 people at a time and everyone who has set up, cooked, cleaned up and shared in the meal have been blessed by sharing what we have with those outside our doors in the local communities around us and being able to reach out to meet their special needs.
