For the Love of Spaghetti!
The UMYF will be holding a spaghetti dinner and auction on Saturday, April 5th starting at 5:00pm. Seating for dinner will take place from 5-6:30pm, so bring the whole family for a fun and relaxing evening. There will be musical entertainment and a live and a silent auction that will take place throughout the evening. Ticket prices will be $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 5-12, kids under 5 eat free! Advanced sale tickets will be available for a $.50 discount during coffee hour on March 16 and March 30. Proceeds from the dinner and auction are going to support the Senior High UMYF attending 4word April 25-27th. 4word is a 4 conference wide event being held in Syracuse to bring youth together to praise god and form new friendships.
The youth group is also looking for donations for the auction of items and services. If you have something that you would like to donate for auction, please contact Laura Clark by phone (674-5283) or be email laura4flute@yahoo.com. SENIOR HIGH UMYF GOING TO 4WORD '08
What is 4word? 4word is the 4th annual event for youth of North Central NY, Troy, Western NY and Wyoming Conferences. Workshops will include everything from faith issues to fun times including Youth Service Fund, Bible Trivia, Volleyball, New Games, Mission of Peace, Basketball, Adult Leader Workshops, Open Mike, and More!
4word is being held at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool, NY (Syracuse), April 25-27, 2008. We will be departing at 3:45 on Friday and are planning to return about 4:00 on Sunday. Cost is $40.00 per youth which includes transportation, room, program activities and food.

Youth group is a great place to find a safe, welcoming environment and people who actually listen to you because they care about what you think!
Each month from October to the middle of May, youth in grades 6 through 8 will meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings, and grades 9 through 12 will meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings.
Some of the activities the group have enjoyed are; making picnic tables for the Habitat Houses, Overnight Lock-In at the church, making valentines candy to sell as a fund raiser, assisting in church dinners, walking dogs and helping with the animals at the Humane Society, field trip to a Coffee House to enjoy Christian music, basketball, bowling and much more.
$3 per person is collected at each meeting to cover the cost of the food. For more details or questions, please call the church office.
