Choirs - An Open Invitation for Adults and Children!

ADULT CHOIRS

There is ALWAYS an open invitation for new choir members!  Our choirs lead the music during the worship services.

Chancel Choir
is our traditional choir, and this choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 P.M. from September to June.  They sing at the 8:30 A.M. service on Sunday morning.  We welcome ANY voice to join us!

Heaven Sent Choir is a more contemporary choir, and this choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:45 P.M. from September to June.  They sing at the 10:00 A.M. service on Sunday morning.  This choir does many pieces in unison, as well as some in parts, so we welcome ANY voice to join us!

Both choirs rehearse for about one hour, sometimes a few minutes longer and sometimes a few minutes less.

Handbell Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-7:45 pm.  If you are interested, please come to a rehearsal and try it out.  If you have never rung bells before, it is lots of fun!  You may discover a new hobby.  If you still have questions, please talk to Music Director Jennifer Higgins or send her an email at jwhiggins@cox.net.

Calling all Instrumentalists!  We are in need of the following instruments for some anthems we hope to sing:  violin, flute, and brass instruments.  If you are interested in playing occasional percussion, that would be great, too.

If you’re thinking about singing or playing an instrument, you can contact Jennifer Higgins by email at jwhiggins@cox.net, or leave a note in her box in the workroom if you need more information.  Or you may speak with any choir member!  You can also simply join us on Wednesday and give it a trial run!  Thanks!!

CHILDREN'S CHOIRS
Asbury Choir Rehearsal
Sundays 9:45-10:00 am

for children Pre-K to Grade 2

Sing+ Choir Rehearsal
Sundays 11:00 am-11:30 am

for children in Grades 3-6

Children in grades 3-6 may be participate in “Sing+.”  In an effort to give this age group a more rounded experience, we’re steering this group into becoming a younger ‘youth group.’  We sing, but we also do some drama, some community service, some fun outings . . . whatever we can think of!  Please encourage your child to check it out on Sunday mornings from 11:00-11:30 am.  This group promises to be a good experience for all children . . . and we’d love to have the chance to build some bonds within these grade levels.

Friends are always welcome!
