WORSHIP MINISTRY
Primary Task
To work with the Pastor and Music Director to ensure that the church provides opportunities for worship that will help people develop and strengthen their relationship with God and guide them in living faithfully.
Responsibilities of the Committee
1. To work with the Pastor and the Director of Music in planning worship.
2. To look for creative opportunities for worship that will help the congregation to grow
spiritually.
3. To provide ushers, greeters and lay readers for the church’s worship services.
4. To recruit and train persons to maintain the liturgical cloths and candles in the sanctuary
and chapel.
5. To recruit and train communion stewards and communion servers.
6. To be accountable to the Charge Conference through the Church Council.
Responsibilities of the Chairperson
1. To guide the work of the committee through the year, scheduling and convening the
meetings, and planning the agendas.
2. To meet with the Pastor to review the worship life and spiritual growth of the congregation.
3. To ensure that the congregation and pastor are informed about the work of the committee.
4. To participate fully in the Church Council.
5. To be accountable to the Charge Conference through the Church Council.
6. To submit an annual report of the committee’s work.
