METHODIST YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

The Methodist Youth Fellowship get-togethers are planned to have a different flavor each week.  We will have opportunities for mission and service, fun and fellowship, and fundraising to support our church budget and for outside organizations.  We welcome friends and encourage our youth to share their gifts and talents.  Below is a description of our Methodist Youth Fellowship meetings for the fall:

MYF In-House:  Spend time at the church with a program designed to have fun while exploring serious life and faith issues....topics that are relevant to youth, with messages that focus on being a Christian.  The messages, small group time, discussion, music and service projects help us all to grow in our faith.  The snacks are a bonus!
Games Night:  Board games, video games, group games, outside sports, this meeting is all about GAMES!

Destination Devotions:  Quick Mystery trips for youth groups…traveling Bible studies.  We will have a secret destination that will help us to understand particular scriptures.  This program links locations in our community with Scripture and faith issues.

Out and Abouts:  On this meeting night we will take off for some fellowship time…a spooky adventure, ice-skating, a concert…whatever comes up!

Worship Workshops:  Bring your instrument, your paintbrush, your mad computer skills, your flair for the dramatic.  Leaders Pastor Carol Reale will be working with the youth on worship elements…a praise band, vocalists, skits, multimedia worship, art for worship…all of the elements that inspire an emerging worship style.  A Youth led worship service is a definite possibility!

We pray that our youth will grow in their understanding of what it means to be a disciple and will have a sacred space, here within our church, to be “real.”

God Bless,
Pastor Carol Reale
