"The Mission of the Edwardsville united Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing God's Word, love, and blessings with our community; growing together in God's grace."

The Big news:  Bishop Scott J. Jones has moved Pastor Ken's appointment from Edwardsville and Grinter Chapel to pastor of Lecompton United Methodist Church, in Lecompton, Kansas as of July 1st.  Accordingly, the Bishop has appointed Rev. Kim Dominic, a long-time Wyandotte County resident and seminary student, as our new pastor.  Please be sure to drop in and say "hi," or email her to bid her welcome.

Check out our Sanctuary!  We have just completed a face lift in our sanctuary.  We have different seating, new carpet throughout, extended the chancel area with a new "thrust," and installed new carpet there as well.  Join us as we celebrate our new look.

Please don't forget the hungry, needy and homeless.  This season as you go about your holiday shopping, why not pick up a little extra for those in need?  You can always bring non-perishable food items to our collection box if you will be visiting us, or you can take them to the collection spot of you choice.   "I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' {37} "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? {38} When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? {39} When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' {40} "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"(Mat 25:36-40 NIV)
