RECYCLING Begins today!

As an ongoing effort to care for God's creation we all need to live a little "Greener" than

we have in the past.

 By re-learning the new "3 R's" (not readin', 'ritin' and 'rithmetic) each of us can do our share.

The three words for this effort are:

Re-Use

Repair

Recycle

Think of all the ways you can re-use containers and sacks for instance.

Repair that piece of equipment or appliance instead trashing it.

When all else fails, recycle it.

   Here is information about some recycling centers.

   Recycling opportunity in Chandler, TX: 

   God's Open Hands, located in old railroad terminal building across the tracks on FM 315 in Chandler.  Open for selling and receiving on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.  Run by Ministerial Alliance of Chandler,  they accepts gently worn clothing, shoes, jewelry.  They do not accept appliances or books.  They are gearing up for school opening in little over a month.  Take donations to the back of the building, then go into main building for a receipt.

     In Edom:

   Don't forget the aluminum can collection site at the community center, behind Estyne's house, in Edom for the CIA scholarships.

In Tyler:

   The Tyler Recycling Center located at 418 N. Bois D’ Arc, Tyler, TX,  is open Wednesday and Thursday 7:15 am to 5:30 pm. Friday 7:15 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to noon.

    Old televisions and computer monitors can be taken to the Good Will Stores in Tyler, TX for recycling.

    Computers are accepted with or without monitors at Mustard Seed Ministries located in Cedar Street United Methodist Church, 1430 N. Church St., Tyler, TX. Monday–Thursday 8am–noon. 903 530 2046.
