race to you and peace from God the father and from Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord and Savior. As the pastor, I want to take this opportunity to bring you greetings from the exciting and spirit filled congregation of Edgewood United Methodist Church. I would also like to extend a welcome to you and to invite you to come and worship with us.

At Edgewood UMC we are blessed to be in ministry to the twin cities of Hartshorne and Haileyville, OK and the surrounding communities.

• • We are located within the McAlester District of the Oklahoma Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
  • Our place of worship is approximately 16 miles east of McAlester, OK and 15 miles east of Wilburton, OK on the South side of U.S. Hwy 270, between 1st and 2nd Streets in Hartshorne, OK.

We offer Sunday School for all ages (from infant to senior adults) at 9:45 on Sunday Mornings

We gather for worship at 11:00 on Sunday Morning

• • Our worship services are open to everyone.
  • Our choir is extremely important as we worship the Lord.
  • Children are a vital part of our worship experience.
  • We offer handicap access right into the sanctuary from the parking lot.

Recognizing that The Lord's Supper (The Eucharist) is truly a "means of grace," we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month.

Our Sunday evening Bible Study meets at 7:00 p.m.

Choir Practice is every Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. ("Those who sing, pray twice")

Our men's fellowship meets the second Thursday of each month for a time of food, fellowship and devotion.

We are active members of ecumenical Twin-Cities Ministerial Fellowship

• • We are in ministry to Beare Manor nursing home in Hartshorne, OK.

  
  

Edgewood UMC is in ministry to the Twin-Cities of Hartshorne and Haileyville, OK.

• • Our Kool-Kids program is open to all children in grades 1-4. The children meet every Tuesdayafternoon from 3:00 to 4:30. In this special time, we help them with their home work by mentoring and tutoring. We offer spiritual development, games, and crafts.

Edgewood UMC is a praying congregation.

• • We believe God hears and answers our prayers. We would like to pray for you and the joys and concerns of your life. If you will call the church office at (918) 297-2245 we will receive your prayer request (or if we are out of the office, you may leave a message on the answering machine). We will then send your prayer request down our prayer chain.
