The Purpose The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Welcome from the East District         Welcome to the East District UMW web site. The East District covers 10,000 square miles and currently has 27 UMW units. Check out the links on this page and you will see the many opportunities offered by United Methodist Women to help you grow in your faith, fellowship with others, and reach out in mission both locally and around the world. We invite every woman in our district to join us at our district and conference events as together we worship, learn, share and touch other lives.
