Most of you have noticed, by now, that our adult choir is shrinking.  We are looking for people to join us.  We need all voices!  If 1 or 2 members are missing, we have no choir!  We can no longer plan special music that the congregation seemed to enjoy. This is not a good thing for our church. Music is an important part of our worship service.  Prayerfully consider joining us for an hour on Thursday evenings (7:00 PM) and during worship on Sunday mornings. We only hold rehearsals from September through May. Solo voices are not required!  We want people who love to sing to blend our voices in praise.  Won’t you consider helping us out?  The door is open!

The Organ Task Force sponsored a craft show on October 10, 2009. We raised over $900 to go toward the organ fund.  We sold Entertainment Books, Candles,  and Cookbooks. We also took orders for, and sold Pumpkin Rolls from the sale of slices. These items were from just our church.  We had outside vendors and crafters come and display their goods. This year’s craft show was even better than last year’s.  Craftsmen want to come back again next year.  A big success this year was our Chinese Auction.  Our craft show is becoming an annual event. While we are planning to continue this annual event, we are learning something new each year to make it better. Once the organ is paid off, the proceeds from future craft shows will go toward church expenses to help with the bills.

As we submit this information, the sale of Entertainment Books will close for the year on December 15. Candle sales will close November 29. Pumpkin Rolls can be ordered until December 6, to allow time to bake them for Christmas delivery. We still have cookbooks for $5.00 that can be purchased any time throughout the year.

As of October 31, 2009, we have achieved 75% of our goal to pay for the organ. Thank you again for your generous support of this endeavor.

The final total from all of our sales is not in, but it looks like we will have made close to another $2000 to go toward the organ fund.
