WHAT'S A CAMP-MEETING?
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH HERITAGE LANDMARK DESIGNATION |
DIMOCK
Camp-Meeting Ground
Serving Christ in the Endless Mountains
For more than 125 years, folks have been gathering just west of the village of Dimock, Pennsylvania, for some spiritual sustenance. Initially, a project back in the 1870s of the old Wyalusing District of the Methodist Episcopal Church's Wyoming Conference, when that District was disolved in 1878, few would have dreamed that it could sustain itself. But, God has worked in wondrous yet mysterious ways, and we are pleased to welcome you once again in 2003 to take part in a series of Sunday evening worship experiences, followed by refreshments in the dining hall.
