Interpreters' Fund
This fund has been established to help churches which do not have the funds to adequately support an interpreter on a regular basis in worship or other services. The principal of this fund will stay intact, and interest from the fund will be available for churches to request additional support for their interpreter budget. By supporting this fund, you are helping deaf persons throughout the conference be able to worship our Lord on a regular basis.
ISD Fund
This fund has been established with the help from a gift from the Washburn United Methodist Church to minister to students who attend the Illinois School for the Deaf which is a residential school in Jacksonville. This ministry provides youth fellowship worship and religion classes for students of the school in an ecumenical setting so the gospel can be shared with them in their language and in their setting
SUPPORT OF DEAF MINISTRY
With the arrival of Rev. Kang, our work has more than doubled and although our expenses have not doubled, they have increased significantly and we could use your suppler. Consider supporting us as we minister to those who are deaf in Illinois.
DIRECTOR AVAILABLE TO COME TO YOUR CHURCH
The director is available to talk with your group about being accessible and the ministry. E-mail him at ckeller@mtco.com and ask about this.
