Volunteer Opportunities

At Dove there are many opportunities for those who wish to serve by volunteering their time and special talents. To volunteer or to receive more information, please contact the church office.

Sound Board Operators: We are in critical need of sound board
operators for the Sunday services and various events using the sound
board. Taking a Sunday off has become nearly impossible for our
current volunteers. Training is provided.

Welcome Wagon: We need smiling faces to greet visitors at the Welcome Wagon the second Sunday of each month at the 11:00 a.m. service. We also need substitutes for the 8:00 & 11:00 a.m. services.

Painters: Do you have some time to help paint air conditioned, inside rooms? You can paint at any time that is convenient for you. We will contact you with instructions.

Summer Sunday School Teachers & Helpers: From July 13 - August 24 at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. we will offer a one-room Sunday School class for Age 3 - Grade 3.

Bread Bakers
Contact:
Help bake bread to be included with the gift bag that is given to new visitors on Sunday afternoon visits. The bread can be frozen and stored at Dove. Click here for an easy recipe for Orange Walnut Bread.

Care Ministry Team
Contact:
Dove's Care Ministry promotes wholeness in mind, body and spirit. The core of the ministry is voluntary member collaboration when a need arises to provide comfort and support to individuals/families experiencing stressful life events such as hospitalization, serious illness or death of a loved one. The Care Ministry Team supports other ministries in the church and offers specific services to the care receiver such as: Prayer Partners and Prayer Shawl Ministry; Care Notes; Transportation, hospital and shut-in visits; Meals support (casserole brigade); Card ministry; Homebound communion; Free blood pressure checks, workshops on health issues, etc.; Emergency medical (CPR) responder team.

Dove Youth Fellowship

Oh, to be a teenager again! Do you love to work with youth? Specify Junior High or Senior High.

Landscaping Labor
Contact:
Volunteer to help maintain Dove's beautiful grounds. Trim roses and other bushes, pull weeds, spread mulch, etc.

Lending Library
Contact:
Help with the Lending Library on Sunday mornings between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Nursery Helpers
Contact:
Help weekly or as a substitute for children under 3 during worship services and other events.

Outreach Ministry

Help welcome first-time visitors to Dove and make follow-up visits

Parking Lot Security
Contact:

Pioneer Clubs
Contact:
Help with Pioneer Clubs for children from 3 years through 4th grade on Wednesday evenings.

Sunday School
Contact:
Help Dove's precious children in learning about our faith.

Wednesday Night Live!
Contact: Help prepare meals and clean up after Wednesday night fellowship.
