Join us as we pray for our church, our pastors, our neighbors and ourselves. Prayer works! Monday evenings at 7 p.m. in Room 4.

Dove’s prayer garden, located outside under the large stained glass window, is always open for individual prayer and reflection.

Walk to Emmaus

The Walk to Emmaus is a three-day spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The experience begins with a 72-hour short course in Christianity, comprised of fifteen talks by lay and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship, and what it means to be the church. The course is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship and daily celebration of Holy Communion.

Worship Services - Acolytes

The word acolyte is taken from an ancient Greek word that meant companion, attendant or helper. The acolytes’ role in our worship services is to light the altar candles to symbolize that God is there with us. A lighted candle reminds the congregation that God is the light of the world. Two candles represent Christ as both human and divine. Children in the 3rd through 6th grades may be acolytes, with new terms beginning each July.
