History

Dove of the Desert, founded in 1989, is a United Methodist Congregation serving the northwest Valley. Located on a 14-acre site in the Arrowhead Ranch area, our congregation is one of the fastest growing United Methodist churches in the West. We moved into our current building in 1996 after six and a half years worshipping at Arrowhead Elementary School. Our founding pastor was Reverend Michael Pearson, who served our congregation for thirteen years, assisted by associate pastor Joan Miller. Reverend Sharon Ragland served us for two years until she was appointed to District Superintendent by the bishop. Reverend Rebecca Oakes Long served us for four years. Our current senior pastor is Marc McDonald, assisted by associate pastor Reverend Ruth Blum.
