Care Ministry

The Care Ministry Team at Dove includes our pastors and members who volunteer their time to pray, visit, call and assist others. Each member of the team is dedicated to confidentiality.

Dove's Care Ministry promotes wholeness in mind, body and spirit. The core of the ministry is voluntary member collaboration when a need arises to provide comfort and support to individuals/families experiencing stressful life events such as hospitalization, serious illness or death of a loved one. This service of love supports Dove's theme: "Increasing Love for God and Neighbor."

The Care Ministry Team supports other ministries in the church and offers specific services to the care receiver such as:
- Prayer Partners and Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Care Notes (available in the Narthex)
- Transportation, hospital and shut-in visits
- Meals support (casserole brigade)
- Card ministry
- Homebound communion
- Free blood pressure checks, workshops on health issues, etc.
- Emergency medical (CPR) responder team

Outreach Ministry

In keeping with Dove’s mission of “Increasing Love for God and Neighbor,” the Outreach Ministry team reaches out to new visitors to Dove by following up with them after their first worship service at Dove. The purpose of the follow-up contact is to thank the visitors for attending, provide an opportunity to for them to ask any specific questions they may have about the church, and to extend an invitation to return.
