Our Purpose Statement The purpose of the First United Methodist Church, De Queen, is to be a supportive family of Christian believers, who are brought together as the Body of Christ. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to minister to the needs of the congregation by providing a loving and nurturing fellowship for worship, receiving of sacraments, study of the scriptures, prayer and spiritual growth. From this gathering, we move out into society as servants to proclaim the salvation of Jesus Christ. We join with other Christians in mission at home and around the world. Through our adoration and praise, our thanksgiving, our gifts and our service, we aim to keep alive the promise and the vision of The Kingdom of Love.
