Our New Facilities - “Some Of The 100 Ways We Will Use
Our New Facility:” Lifestyle Stewardship For many, giving is not easy. It’s a matter of the heart, and it ask us to sacrifice, to move beyond our comfort zone into an area of reliance upon God. It calls for us to prayerfully look deep inside and to make a decision. Lifestyle Stewardship is a level of giving that reaches into our lives, having an impact on the way we live. The challenge of such stewardship is to find ways, through God’s grace, to let our giving touch our living. Our campaign asks all of us to make a spiritual commitment to God’s work at Denville Community UMC. Because of the magnitude of this challenge, each person in our church is being asked to make a commitment over and above our normal giving. But, as in every challenge, there is an adventure. In 2 Samuel 24:24, King David declared, “I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing.” David knew that the gift that would touch the heart of God would first have to touch the heart of the giver. That is the spirit of Lifestyle Stewardship. Please join us as we experience the adventure of Lifestyle Stewardship together. Our new facility will establish a multi-purpose room with seating capacity of 300. We will create expanded offices for church administration, and have an enlarged kitchen to support the capacity of the multi-purpose room. We will be able to reconfigure our Nursery School and add 4 additional Sunday School rooms. We will also have a new youth room and much needed additional storage. In addition, we will have a Thrift Shop to support our community. From the outside, we will have improved landscape and parking, and beautiful stained glass from the Church Street facility. The project will be just over 3 million dollars. All the funds raised from our campaign will go towards eliminating our current outstanding mortgage and funding this building project.
