About Us

Our churches are located in Delmar and Elwood Iowa in northern Clinton County off of US Highway 61 on State Highway 136 (Delmar about 3 miles to the east and Elwood about 4 miles to the west) about halfway between Davenport and Dubuque.  Rather than being in the middle of nowhere, our churches are in the middle of everywhere.  People from several surrounding communities call our churches their spiritual home.  New and exciting things are happening in our parish.  We invite you to come and grow with us.

Our Mission

As part of the Universal Body of Christ and The United Methodist Church our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by...

  • Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and by Seeking, Welcoming, and Gathering Persons into the Body of Christ.

  • Leading Persons to Commit Their Lives to God through Baptism, Profession of Faith.

  • Nurturing Persons in Christian Living through Worship, the Sacraments, Spiritual Disciplines, and other Means of Grace.

  • Sending Persons into the World to Live Lovingly and Justly as Servants of Christ by Healing the Sick, Feeding the Hungry, Caring for the Stranger, Freeing the Oppressed, Being and Becoming a Compassionate, Caring Presence, Working to Develop Social Structures that are Consistent with the Gospel, and by Continuing the Mission of Seeking, Welcoming, and Gathering Person into the Community of the Body of Christ.
