About Us
Our churches are located in Delmar and Elwood Iowa in northern Clinton County off of US Highway 61 on State Highway 136 (Delmar about 3 miles to the east and Elwood about 4 miles to the west) about halfway between Davenport and Dubuque. Rather than being in the middle of nowhere, our churches are in the middle of everywhere. People from several surrounding communities call our churches their spiritual home. New and exciting things are happening in our parish. We invite you to come and grow with us.

2 Nite @ Home: Last Week (pdf) This Week (pdf) (2 Nite @ Home is an insert in each week's worship bulletin which is meant to help people to discuss the Scripture and the sermon as families or in small groups at home on Sunday night or at some other time during the week. The questions are written to engage a variety of ages and levels, so some are easier than others. Families and groups are encouraged to adapt the material to their needs. Answers to each week’s questions will be on the insert the following week.)
United Methodist Men
Both churches participate in a joint unit of United Methodist Men. UMM meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month for breakfast at 7:00am at City Limits Restaurant in Maquoketa, Iowa. The main ministry of our UMM is providing scholarships for church camps for the children of our churches and communities. Please contact the parish office for more information about camp scholarships.
Youth
We are pleased to partner with First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa, Iowa for our youth program. Our youth participate in the youth programs at First UMC in Maquoketa. Please go to News/Events to see what is going on. For more information contact the parish office or you can email Karen Sellars (karenmsellars@hotmail.com) the Youth Director at First UMC in Maquoketa.
Lost Nation Food Pantry
Our churches are proud to participate in the the Lost Nation Food Pantry. The food pantry is located at the Union Presbyterian Church in Lost Nation, Iowa, but it is a cooperative effort several churches in the area. Food is distributed every Friday. On the first Sunday of each month a special offering is taken in our churches for the food pantry. Our pastor and members of our church serve on the Food Pantry Board and volunteer at the food pantry.

If you or anyone you know is hospitalized or in need of a visit from the pastor, please contact the pastor. If we do not know, we cannot go!
An audio CD of each month’s sermons is available beginning with August of 2006. You may order a copy of any month by contacting Pastor Brian.
Please submit items for newsletter and calendar by the 20th of each month.
This Sunday during worship Kristy Koranda, who is serving as a missionary in Ukraine, will be sharing with us about her ministry. Kristy's home church is Faith UMC of Baldwin and Monmouth.
On Sunday, July 27th Elwood will have a special worship service. During our regular worship service at 9:30am we will have song and prayer and a “worshipful discussion” about our church, its needs, and its mission. No business action will be taken, only discussion. All, members or not, are welcome to participate or just come and listen.
UMM – Saturday, July 18th 7:00am City Limits Restaurant in Maquoketa
Our churches have been invited to send children to Vacation Bible School at 1st UMC Maquoketa July 21st–25th 9:00-11:30am. Registration forms are on the table in the foyer. Youth and Adult Volunteers are also welcome. Call:652-4420
