Answers to Stump The Pastor

Question:  Is Christianity the only true religion?

Our pastor's reply:
Yes, Christianity is the only true religion. But it is not the only religion with truth. That is, other religions offer partial truth, while Christianity offers the fullness of Truth. In fact, we believe Jesus when he said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Now he speaks of having sheep in other pastures, which to many implies truth being shared with those outside of the fold we know. After all, truth is even communicated through nature. But we can only know the Truth in Jesus. Is this exclusive? Of course it is-all truth is exclusive, since saying one thing is true indicates that something else is not. And when it comes to Jesus this is a hard truth-you have to die to yourself. Yet, truth is the only way to freedom and salvation and abundant life. To keep working on this thought read the verses below.

Think about these Bible verses:  John 10:7-18; Acts 4:12
