Answers to Stump The Pastor
Question:
Why is the Bible important?
Our pastor's reply:
Rather than merely being a book of religious beliefs or Life's Instruction
Manual, the Bible is God's introduction and invitation to you. First and
foremost, God is love. Love requires relationship. That is exactly what
God wants-a very real and personal relationship with you. When we read the
Bible we are met by the God who constantly reaches out to a fallen and
broken world-not because we are so lovable, but because we have this God who
is so loving. That is why the writers can take such joy in the precepts of
the Scripture. They know that even behind every commandment there is a
loving Father.
Think about these Bible verses:
Psalm 19:7-8; Psalm 98:2; 2 Timothy 3:16
