Youth Ministries at First United Methodist Church
Sunday Evening Youth Group
Youth Group meets Sunday evenings from 5:15 to 6:45. We rotate between Junior High, High School, and Combined meetings. The Junior High and Combined meetings are at Church and the High School meetings are in homes. Our intent is for Youth Group to be a fun time of fellowship with a focus on growing spiritually.
Small Groups
As part of our Wednesday Night Life program, these small groups are designed to build strong relationships between youth and their peers as well as with their adult leader. Small groups are divided by gender and age. Each group is led by an adult who is striving to represent Christ to their youth. Small Groups begin at 6:30 and are over at 8 p.m.
Youth Praise Team - For Junior and Senior High. We meet from 4:00-5:00pm on Sundays to practice and lead worship every third Sunday for combined youth group. We will also take part in the Gathering on Sunday mornings occasionally.
Special events
Ski trips, Youth Sunday, service projects, mission trips and attending Christian Music Festivals are just some of the special events youth are encouraged to be part of at First United Methodist Church. Each of these has the goal of introducing youth to Christ and nurturing that relationship.
