Pastor's Message at First United Methodist Church
Dear Friends:
Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope that you will enjoy reading about the exciting things that First United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville does to help make disciples for Jesus Christ. The church makes Christ visible as the body of Christ through valuing the uniqueness that each member contributes to the one body. Christ is still building the church. The church seeks transformation of itself, its community, and the world, through being a people of compassion and love as evidenced in mission, learning, and worship. We practice a ministry of reconciling people to each other and to God. We seek to do everything for the glory of God, who has shown us great love in Jesus Christ.
Our vision is simple. We want to love people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this as we welcome persons into the body of Christ, lead persons to profess their faith in Christ, nurture persons through learning, worship, sacraments, and spiritual discipline, and send persons into the world to live in loving and just ways.
We want to help persons discover and develop their God-given passion for ministry and service for their ministry in the world.
