Children Ministries at First United Methodist Church
A wide variety of educational opportunities is offered at FUMC for children, both on Sunday morning and throughout the week. Through study and fellowship, we seek to know God. A list of the ongoing opportunities are listed below.
Sunday School Classes
Start your Sunday morning worship by bringing your children to Sunday School from 9 to 10 a.m. and attend adult Sunday School yourself! Everyone is invited to stop in the Wesley Library before Sunday School for doughnuts, coffee or hot cocoa and fellowship!
Classes are held for the following age groups:
- 2-4 yrs.
- 4-Kindergarten
- 1st & 2nd grade
- 3rd & 4th grade
- 5th & 6th grade
- 7th & 8th grade
- High School
Faithweavers Friends
This group meets on Wednesday evenings September through March as part of the Wednesday Night Life program. Held from 6:30 - 8 p.m., this fun evening offers music, small groups, crafts and a drama Bible story. Faithweavers Friends is for ages 4 through 4th grade. Visitors are welcome at all times.
Vacation Bible School
This week-long adventure is held during the month of July for kids age 5 through 4th grade. The morning starts with a play and music, followed by crafts, Bible stories, snacks and recreation. Volunteers are always needed for this fun-filled week!
