Bright Beginnings Preschool was founded in January of 1987 as an outreach to young children and their families.  Bright Beginnings goal is to develop the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Literacy development is a major focus of our program as so much of success in other areas depends upon a child's literacy skills.

Registration

Priority is given to members of the United Methodist Church, with registration for the Fall beginning March 1st. 

Registration is open to the community on March 15. 

Class Schedule

Children who are 4 by October 15 attend preschool on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. OR 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Maximum enrollment of 18.

Children who are 3 on or before October 15 attend preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m OR 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.. 
Maximum enrollment of 14. 

Tuition

4 year old pre-school:  $65.00 per month. 
3 year old pre-school:  $50.00 per month.

Staff

Jeanette Birnie is the Director/Teacher at Bright Beginnings.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education/ Early Childhood Education
from UNK.  She is active in the community serving as a Director of the Chamber of Commerce, a Park Board member and is on the Board of Cedars
of Central NE.  During the summer Jeanette is the manager of the Broken Bow Swimming Pool.  In her spare time she likes to scrapbook. 

Linda Jezbera, AKA Ms. Linda, is the teacher's assistant at Bright Beginnings.  She has been at the Preschool for 13 years.  She has two grown children, one grandson and has been a foster parent for several years.  She is also employed at Custer Care Center.

Licensing

Bright Beginnings is licensed by Health and Human Services, going above and beyond their mimimum standards.
