TROOP 48 NEWSLETTER

The Troop now has the responsibility of cleaning the road on Highway 21 between Markers 69-71 as a part of the Adopt-A-Highway program.
The first Cleanup will be May 29 starting at 4:30 and ending with a meal at Jerry Vaughan’s house.


Nine Scouts  earned their Aviation Badge, Sunday, May 4 and got to go flying.

St. John’s Episcopal donated $100.  Brian is to send a thank you. A BIG thank you.

The troop earned over $250 at Pizza Hut.

May 22 Scout meeting will have election.

At the May 22 meeting in the United Methodist Fellowship Hall there will be a video shown on child protection and parents will be in attendance.  Other information will be presented.

June 8-14 is camp and volunteers are needed to sponsor the boys.  Terry, Rowland, Jerry and Monte are certain at this time.  Others are needed for one or two nights.

There should be a Court of Honor after camp.

The fees have been paid for camp for 18 people.  So far 12 Scouts have turn in money for camp.
GET YOUR REGISTRATIONS IN FOR CAMP.

There is discussion of a canoe trip July 5-7 on the Dismal or Niobrara.

Patrols will be formed at the May 22 meeting and Patrol names selected.


Who would like to become Den Chiefs.  Scouts work with Cub Scouts at their Den meetings.  Contact Terry for information.


Everyone needs a physical form filled out and turned into Jerry for Camp.
