The goal of Centenary's Children's House is to provide quality care in a safe Christian environment where children may play, enjoy some organized activities, and feel at home.
Children's House serves children 30 months to 12 years of age who are developmentally average for their age group. We are not equipped to handle most children with extraordinary special needs. The Children's House Board may make exceptions in some cases.
Children's House is registered with Portsmouth Social Services as a potential daycare provider for families being served by that agency. Staff must comply with all health regulations for daycare workers in Virginia, and also are First Aid/CPR trained.
Children's House is open 6 a.m. - 6 p.m, Monday-Friday, except for major holidays. Children may be registered for full-time care, $90 per week plus registration fees, or one of several part-time options. Part-time options include before/after school, half days, mornings only (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) or partial weeks; fees vary according to the care schedule for which a child is registered.
