OUTREACH

United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women meet on the 1st Saturday of each month.
All women of the church are welcome at any time.
There are no dues, no admission fees, or rigorous admission process! ;-)

Mission Statement for United Methodist Women:
"The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women
whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons
through Jesus Christ; to develop creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand
concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”

Caregivers meet every Tuesday morning at 11:15 to pray for the sick and plan
for outreach for those who need extra care in the congregation.

Community Kitchen volunteers gather food donations and provide free dinners
the last full week of the month. All are welcome to serve and be served.

Safe Haven Room:  was created as a refuge and meeting place for groups needing
a safe haven to form community and enhance their spiritual lives.  The room was
inspired by our local PFLAG organization and dedicated to long time community
peace activist, musician and friend Jerry Sommerseth in honor of his service.
Skagit PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meets there at 7:00 p.m.
on the second Monday of each month.

Boy Scout Troop 4067 and Cub Scout Pack 67 of Sedro-Woolley meet at CUMC.
See the our calendar for meeting times.

Habitat Village is being built adjacent to CUMC by Skagit Habitat For Humanity.
In 2008, the city granted permission to subdivide the church property
and our lot next door to the church to allow the construction of four homes;

including one house built by the Skagit Women Build group of
Habitat For Humanity. We are subsidizing
volunteer efforts and
helping to raise funds
to support the Habitat Village project.
