MISSIONS WORK

Through our prayers, our financial support, and our active participation the churches of the Cumberland Charge are helping to spread the good news of Christ's love through various missions groups. Please click on the links below if you would like to learn more about how you can get involved.

SON POWER MINISTRIES

Pete and Fran Einstein travel extensively as “Urban Missionaries,” ministering in music and the spoken Word in churches, special events, conferences and retreats. In addition, he and Fran have hosted a series of 16-week “relationship discovery” classes for couples in their home.
Pete also provides extensive ministry through-out the PA state penitentiary system and facilitates a weekly discipleship class at Cumberland County Prison, on the outskirts of Carlisle, PA. He has graced the stage with numerous nationally-recognized Gospel artists and has appeared at several major Christian music festivals. No matter what the venue, Pete offers fresh, relevant vocal performances with a Christ-centered message ... right from the soul. He is a bold communicator whose Spirit-filled music and challenging teaching will minister to hearts of all ages.

THE GIDEONS

The Gideons International is an interdenominational association of Christian business and professional men who are members of Protestant/evangelical churches. Their members are dedicated to saving the lost through personal witnessing and the distribution of God's Word in more than 180 countries around the world.

PROJECT SHARE

In response to God´s call to love one another, Project SHARE provides food, clothing, nutrition education and links to other community resources to empower people in need within the Greater Carlisle Area.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

For over 35 years, Samaritan's Purse has done their utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. They are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

UNITED METHODIST CHILDREN'S HOME

Their mission is to provide redemptive healing services that bring meaningful change to the lives of children and families. Grounded by scripture and the tradition of the church, they seek to bring the wholeness of God's love to persons through Christ.
