Cuba United Methodist Women
Do you remember??
What do the letters WSCS signify?
That was the name of a very active and diligent group of women “Whose purpose is to know God” that functioned very actively in our church with it’s inception in 1940. This was known as the Women’s Society of Christian Service. They not only supported missions, but by their concern for the church supported it in many ways. One memory of a long time member was of the women selling bottles of vanilla to make money to purchase the Kitchen-Aide mixer that has been a fixture of our church kitchen- having been repaired, restored and functioning for use. In November this group which became the United Methodist Women will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Nov.18, in the Dorcas Room with refreshments by Pat and a program by Vera . Hope you can come & join us! The “Box Tops” on many grocery items are being collected for Cunningham (these are replacing the Campbell labels). So please save them for Cunningham Home Kids. Put them in an envelope & leave in back of the Church or in quilting room.
